Cordes sur Ciel, a “Grand Site of Occitanie”, will leave you in awe thanks to its incomparable architectural heritage. Extravagant Gothic merchants’ houses, the covered market, the Saint Michel church and fortified gates, as well as local products, savoir-faire and crafts, a wonderful combination for which the bastide is renowned.
The small train is the best way to climb the 150 metre ascent separating you and the medieval town. It is here, at the Jane gateway, that your journey to the heart of the 13th century will begin.
